About Next Safety
Next Safety, Inc. is a privately-held medical technology company located in Jefferson, NC. The Company was founded by C. Eric Hunter and Michael A. Wiener in 2002 to create devices that provide substantial safety benefits in the deep ultraviolet light (UVC) spectrum. A key goal at that time was to develop the most effective air-purifying respirator available, providing comprehensive protection against pathogens and contaminants at levels of efficiency 1,000 to 100,000 times higher than provided by the currently available HEPA grade respirators. In 2006 the Company made several significant discoveries that led it to expand its technological foci to include pulmonary drug delivery devices.
