The club really embraced the concept and it was great to see the interest it generated. We had seniors coming to junior matches and training in a bid to familiarise themselves with junior players. This led to great outcomes in terms of interactions with coaching and general conversation between the two groups that can sometimes go missing. Junior cricketers were able to get to know the senior players on a personal level as a result, which further cemented their sense of membership at our club.
