M. L. Chartier, Inc. is a full service environmental remediation firm, offering a diversified group of environmental services for the management of environmental projects. Based in Fair Haven, Michigan, the company has been successfully serving clients for over forty years. Founded in 1954, our earliest projects included the construction of roadways, culverts, and sewer systems. In the late 1950s, we began working in the oil fields for Panhandle Eastern, Sun Oil, Michigan Consolidated Gas, and Consumers Power Company. As the utilities needs for new office areas and work stations grew, we expanded our scope of services to include the demolition of buildings, clearing land and building containment structures. In the early 1980s, M. L. Chartier, Inc. expanded into the environmental industry. Early projects involved lagoon closures, tank removals, and contaminated soil excavation.
