MCCA Inc., the Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism, is the primary provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation, and treatment services across western Connecticut. Bethel, Norwalk, Ridgefield, and Sharon, serving Connecticut State Demographic Area Regions 1 and 5economically and socio-demographically diverse areas spanning urban, suburban, and rural communities throughout the western portion of the state. The organization is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization, holds licensure from the State of Connecticut, maintains CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) credentials, and operates as an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. MCCA delivers a comprehensive range of services including outpatient care, short-term and long-term residential inpatient treatment, employee assistance programs, pre-employment drug testing, substance abuse prevention services, and impaired driver intervention programs. The organization serves diverse populations including seniors, Latino communities, women, family members, and individuals affected by alcohol and drug dependence, with multilingual capabilities in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Polish to accommodate varied language needs across its service regions.
