Luckington and Alderton Parish Council aims to be as transparent in its activities as possible and this website is one way we provide information about what we do, to the community we serve. On the Finance page you can find details of previous financial years. Following the elections in May 2021, Luckington and Alderton Parish Council now has 5 Councillors. All who stood for election were elected unopposed (see the 'Statement of Nominations' ), four being returning Councillors. After the restrictions on meeting have eased in July, we would love to welcome enthusiastic local residents to fill the remaining two vacancies on the Council, and have your say over important decisions for our community. From the recently re-elected Chair, Richard McCraith: We are a Parish Council that has up to 11 meetings a year to look after our needs as a parish. We enjoy supporting local organisations including the Friends of Luckington School, the Luckington Children's Playgrounds Charity, and the Alderton Duck Pond, as well as others throughout the year. Among other regular business, we consider planning applications, look after the cemetery, organise the grass cutting for communal areas, and report highway problems in our area.
