The Life Chiropractic centre is just what the name suggests a practice dedicated to improving quality of life using safe, gentle and effective methods, tailored to suit the individual. Chiropractic care is based on the understanding that the nervous system controls all parts of the body. Knocks, bumps and falls, prolonged poor postures, lifting, repetitive activities and other stressors can cause the bones of the spine to lose their normal alignment and movement. This abnormal function can irritate the delicate spinal nerves that exit the spine between each bone. Chiropractors call this problem a Vertebral Subluxation or Spinal Misalignment. Instead of using drugs or surgery, chiropractors seek to improve body function through your nervous system by making gentle adjustments to the joints of the spine. Dr. Matthew Watkinson graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1993 and since has completed numerous post graduate courses, the most recent leading to certification as a functional medicine practitioner in April of 2020. Matthew has always had a desire to help people be as healthy as they can possibly be and works with people from all walks of life, from professional athletes to the elderly and everyone in-between. Matthew has been a regular guest speaker at corporate health events and professional health conferences around Australia.
