About KISU FM _ 91.1 Pocatello, 91.3 Idaho Falls, 88.1 Rexburg Eastern Idahos Ear to the World for more than 21 years! KISU-FM office and studios are located on the campus of Idaho State University in the Pond Student Union Building . At 91.1 FM, KISU broadcasts at 4500 watts from Howard Mountain to Pocatello, Chubbuck, American Falls, Blackfoot, a... nd other surrounding communities. Two translators, one in Idaho Falls and one in Rexburg, serve Eastern Idaho's Upper Snake River Valley from Shelley to Island Park. KISU broadcasts to a potential audience of almost 230,000 residents and an ever-growing number of public radio and Bengal fans. Market surveys show KISU with more listeners than many commercial stations in the market. Locally produced shows and news complement national programming from NPR, PRX, APM and BBC. KISU-FM is THE source for women's athletics at ISU for Soccer, Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball. KISU is also well-known for promoting local cultural and public affairs events through partnerships with Idaho State University, the Idaho State Civic Symphony, the Idaho Falls Arts Council, the City Club of Idaho Falls, Alturus Institute, and other similar organizations. When KISU started on the air in June of 1999 its programs all came from outside sources like National Public Radio (NPR), Public Radio International (PRI), and many other independent program producers. Today, several hours of local radio programming and news coverage can be heard on KISU. Also meeting the needs of Idaho State University students, who provide a major portion of funding for the station, with about 30% of funding coming from student fees, KISU also broadcasts live ISU women's soccer, volleyball, softball, and basketball events throughout the school year.
