Kainos is a comprehensive provider of residential, vocational, and support services designed to help adults with developmental disabilities maximize their potential and achieve greater independence. Founded in 1974, the organization has built a robust service portfolio spanning multiple domains: residential services including daily living skills tr... aining, personal hygiene and household maintenance instruction, health and safety education, personal budgeting, meal planning and preparation, individual and group counseling, independent and supported living arrangements, communication skills development, and diverse leisure activities; vocational services encompassing vocational assessment, job readiness classes, computer training, community-based work teams, job placement, on-site support services, and horticulture and landscape training; and recreational and social opportunities that foster community engagement. Over nearly five decades, Kainos has established multiple residential homes and facilities across its service area, including independent living homes, supported living residences, and group sites, while operating a certified Work Activity Center that provides structured employment and training pathways.
