Jane Davidson is a family run business, founded in 1969 in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh by Jane Davidson, now Jane Hall. The original boutique sold only British brands, Jean Muir, Ozzie Clark and Jean Varon and was attached to a church in the Old Town. It was decorated in the style of a smart French Salon. The boutique is now owned by Sarah Mu... rray, her daughter and is based in a Georgian townhouse in Thistle Street, discreetly located in Edinburgh's elegant New Town and in the thick of the upmarket shopping area. The store has grown steadily since it opened on the ground floor of its current site and has expanded over 4 floors in the last 10 years. Over the years Jane Davidson has introduced many high profile brands to Scotland; Jimmy Choo, Roland Mouret and more recently, Anna Valentine. n July 2008 Jane Davidson launched their first transactional website. Jane Davidson showcases a tempting assortment of International fashion brands-many exclusively in Scotland. On the ground floor are brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, P.A.R.O.S.H, Theory and Fabiana Filippi. Through in the mezzanine are denim brands such as J Brand and IDA, and knitwear by Queene & Belle. Upstairs we have some classic brands such as Escada and Talbot Runhof. Also a luxury room where, Dries van Noten, Preen, Roland Mouret and Osman reside. The philosophy behind the store is very much centered around exceptional customer service and a relaxed atmosphere. In winter there is a real fire on the ground floor and on entering the store you will be offered a coffee or tea. The sales team each have their own unique style and personality, and bring a wealth of experience to the boutique. They will encourage you to try things you would never normally have dreamt of. Customer purchases are all carefully logged so that our clients get the most from their wardrobes each year.
