Active Feet

Active Feet was the first store of its kind, opened in November 2002 by Podiatrists with many years experience practising specifically in Sports Medicine. Up until then, there was a disconnect between the footwear industry for athletic shoes and the biomechanical requirements of the regular runner and walker. With a huge array of shoes and marketin... g to match, the result was confusion and contradiction among the brands. We saw many patients in our Sports Medicine practices who had paid significant money for a shoe that just was not right for their biomechanical function. Our goal with active feet was to provide the link between the shoes that are available on the market and what actually suits your foot posture and function, using our extensive clinical Podiatric experience in Sports Medicine and passion for running. Since active feet began, we have seen a steady array of specialty running stores follow, which we welcome, since it all aims to lift the bar for a better customer result. We firmly believe, however, that our combination of Podiatric expertise from weekend sport through to elite sport, our shoe research team, our continuing education program for graduate Podiatrists, our input at the training Universities, and our running credentials set us apart.
