My name is James Parker, and Im a design, user experience and digital product leader. I started my career over a decade ago as a designer and front-end developer, and quickly carved a reputation for marrying uncompromised design with technology for the likes of BBC Worldwide, Samsung, BMW and VW. This led to regular stints writing for various desig... n publications, speaking at conferences, and proudly partnering with some of the worlds leading agencies on projects and initiatives. Eight years ago I moved client-side, with a vision to build an agency-quality internal design and experience function and launch the very best digital products to market. After the success and acclaim in my first such position for a UK conglomerate, Ive subsequently gone on to build and lead product design and experience for some of the UKs largest organisations, embedding service and user-centred design into household brands and FTSE organisations. Im currently Head of User Experience and Design for Post Office, the UKs largest retail and financial services chain, and have previously held similar roles leading product functions for The National Lottery, Homebase (Home Retail Group), and Countrywide plc.
