At James Child Development Center, we promote the development of the total child. Our center is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate program for children from birth through thirteen years of age. Activities are planned to stimulate the social, emotional, physical and mental growth of each child. Each child's unique individuality and... special needs are incorporated into program planning to help them develop to their fullest potential. Our programs are developed to expose children to a variety of stimulating experiences conducted by a trained, professional staff. The children are encouraged to think, speak and participate in a variety of activities to help them grow in independence, learn to give, share, and receive affection, learn to get along with others, learn to develop self control, learn nonsexist human roles, begin to understand one's own body, learn and practice large and small motor skills, begin to understand and control the physical world, learn new words and understand others, and develop a positive feeling about one's relationship to the world.
