Getting its start as a Display division of ILJIN Diamond in 1999, ILJIN Display was established in 2004 through spin-off from ILJIN Diamond and became the parent company. ILJIN Display initially developed HTPS (High Temperature Poly Silicon) TFT-LCD panel and furthermore developed single LCD panel using field sequential color implementation method... in 2006. Based on these various panel development experiences, ILJIN Display acquired A-Touch, a specialized touch screen company, and is now able to provide various kinds of touch screens applicable to all kinds of electronic display devices. In addition, ILJIN Display has already developed sapphire wafer which is core material of LED chip, next generation lighting source applicable to BLU of LCD TV, notebook and mobile phone as well as general lighting and automobile, and is now proactively providing various sizes of sapphire wafer to global customers including Samsung LED.
