(HVL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Holcim Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of cement and aggregates, ready-mix concrete, construction- related services, which operates in more than 70 countries. The licensed investment capital in Vietnam amounts to USD 495 million. Formerly known until 2002 as Morning Star Ceme... nt Ltd., HVL was registered in February 1994 as a joint-venture company between Holcim Ltd. and Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (VICEM) that respectively contributed in the Company 65% and 35% of its charter capital. Holcim Vietnam currently employs around 1,300 people at its 4 technologically advanced cement production sites and more than 8 modern ready-mix concrete batching plants in addition to the HCMC Office. Sustainable Development is at the core of our business strategy embracing the Triple Bottom Line framework integrating economic growth, environmental performance and social responsibility and seeks to balance those 3 aspects in everything we do. Our consolidated and holistic approach aims to create value for all our stakeholders.
