High Voltage

High Voltage is a volunteer non-profit organization that provides educational and recreational programs for economically disadvantaged youth. We are dedicated to helping youth realize their potential, build character, and function effectively as contributing members of society. High Voltage also works to build community collaborations and partnersh... ips with organizations that serve youth. We also provide educational and recreational programs for senior citizens in New Orleans. High Voltage does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. In the fall of 2003, High Voltage began to collaborate with other non-profit organizations serving youth including Positive Impact, Joseph A Cuillier, Sr. Career Center and New Orleans Video Access Center in order to order to serve more young people in the New Orleans Community. Students enrolled in our programs are eligible for high school (community service) and college credits.
