GT GROUP has opened a new FORD TRUCKS facility in Tbilisi GT Group LLC has opened a new FORD Trucks facility in Digomi, Tbilisi, equipped with modern service equipment, at Oct 19th, 2017. The manufacturer of the trucks under the brand name "FORD Trucks", is Ford Otosan, a joint venture founded by the FORD Motors Company and the KOC Holding, one of... the biggest Turkish corporations. GT Group is an official dealer of FORD Trucks in Georgia, since 2007. The lorries of FORD Trucks are effectively working in Georgia in the fields of construction, municipal services, mining, transportation, and logistics. The investment for the construction of the FORD Trucks facility in Tbilisi has totaled some 8.5 million Georgian Lari. The new service center will generate twenty more jobs after put in full operational capacity. "The construction of the new FORD Trucks center has been enabled through our own funds and by the credit, provided from the bank through DCFTA program - a preferential trade regime, provided by the EU and Georgia association agreement. This program is supporting the introduction of European standards in Georgia", said Mr. Levan Gogsadze, General Director of GT Group. The opening ceremony, held on October 19th, 2007, in the new premises of FORD Trucks in Tbilisi, has been culminated with the traditional 'Ribbon Cutting', performed by Mr. Ahmet Kinay, the Assistant General Manager, FORD Trucks and Mr. Giorgi Gvelesiani, Chairman of Supervisory Board, GT Group LLC.
