Grid Exponential

We explore the scientific system looking for biotech-based projects. We interview the 100 most promising projects, from which we select the best 20. 20 biotech-based projects go through a 3-month program starting in March, to get immersed into the startup world and to match with business entrepreneurs. We select 10 of these projects and we go from... scientific project to startup. We invest up to USD 200K. Startups need to scale up fast. We accompany them through their growth, guiding them as they go out to the world. After 15 years founding tech startups, I decided to find a way to connect science and business. I dedicated 3 years to understand both venture capital and the scientific ecosystem in LATAM, and from that I founded Grid Exponential in 2016. I am a biologist aiming to generate impact in the world through science-based companies. I did my PhD in Neuroscience in the Netherlands, where I learned how scientific developments can lead to the creation of startups. For 5 years I was involved in a Biotech startup. I experienced the complexity of building a startup merging business entrepreneurs with scientists. I also worked with the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem in the past years. I am a biotechnologist with a PhD in biology. I started working in the intersection of science and business in 2016, aiming to help science to impact in peoples lives, firstly working in CONICET and now as a member of GRIDX. For more than 10 years I worked in administration positions.
