About Golden Thread Silks
Golden Thread Silks is a family-owned and operated business. We got our start back in the mid-1990s, when Courtney was doing her master's research in northern Vietnam. For years, she brought home yards of lovely Ha Dong jacquards from the Red River Delta for her mother Deborah's personal fabric stash. After realizing that this unique silk fabric wasn't available in the United States, we opened our doors in 1998. Our silk fabric is supplied by small weaving enterprises and farming households where silk production has been a tradition for generations. We travel to the region regularly and have assembled what we believe is a beautiful and unique collection of Southeast Asian silk fabrics , ranging from elegant jacquards to stunning handwoven silk tussahs and ikats.Explore more
