Global Leadership Program

Macquarie's multi award-winning Global Leadership Program (GLP) is an extracurricular program made up of interactive, interdisciplinary workshops on global issues, as well as a range of facilitated and self-directed practical experiences. Students gain skills and networks through a self-designed program comprised of local or international activitie... s relating to global issues, leadership, innovation and social entrepreneurship. By participating in the GLP, Macquarie students develop the skills, awareness and intercultural competence needed to become confident global leaders. A multi award winning program: Institute of International Education The GLP is the proud recipient of the Institute for International Education's 2017 Heiskell award for Innovation in International Education - Internationalising the Campus. Macquarie University is the first Southern Hemisphere university to receive the award in its 17 year history. NSW Government (StudyNSW) The GLP was awarded the 2018 NSW International Student Community Engagement Award (Joint Winner) in the Education Provider category.
