Significantly, Laurie holds a Certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University in Toronto (2010). Prior to founding the publicity company, Laurie earned graduate status in the Recording Arts Management program at Harris Institute for the Arts, Toronto (1998). She was then president of her own management company for musical artists, Starlette Management - managing two indie bands; Speed Orchid and Electrashine. Laurie then took an internship and also worked at Attic Records (Attic Music Group) in marketing and publicity and then worked for two years as an extra in feature film and television productions in Toronto.
