Im a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed through the Board of Behavioral Sciences here in California. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science and minored in Creative Writing at Concordia University, Irvine while competing in collegiate softball on an athletic scholarship. After my undergraduate studies were complete, I immediately... sought out graduate programs and attended Pepperdine University to complete my Masters in Clinical Psychology; Marriage and Family Therapy. Ive always wanted to be a psychotherapist. I value deep connection and enjoy helping people make effective changes for personal growth. Upon completing my Bachelors degree, I was employed as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher at a non-public school for children with severe autism and related behavioral challenges. As my career advanced, I continued working with individuals with various developmental disabilities by providing case management at the Regional Center of Orange County. I continued this position while interning as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Graduate school led me to develop my clinical skills working with variety of populations. While I loved each and every setting Ive worked with, I have a personal connection with the LGBTQ population that helped develop my particular niche. While I originally set out with one speciality, through my own journey and experience as an adoptive parent, I have sought out training and education in adoption, trauma, and therapeutic parenting. I have since included this speciality into my practice.
