Dr. Johnson, Director of Alliance Counseling, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 19013) specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. Dr. Johnson is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. As a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary's Graduate School of Psychology, he practices both in Christian and general clinical... psychology modalities. With over 24 years of experience in the field, he enjoys working with a broad spectrum of clients. In additioon to his doctorate degree, he currently holds 3 Master's degrees and a Post-Doctoral Masters in Clinical Psychopharmacology. Among his areas of expertise are psychopharmacological education, dream analysis work, and motivational speaking. He has presented at conferences and to general audiences on the topics of psychopharmacology, stress management, and psycho-spiritual integration. In addition to being a private practitioner, Dr. Johnson maintains adjunct faculty positions at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA, Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA, and the University of Phoenix - Southern California Campus - where he has received numerous awards for his instruction of psychology students and future counselors.Dr. Johnson also maintains a full time position as a forensically focused psychologist working with mentally ill offenders at Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino County and operates out of a second location in Redlands, CA as well. He is currently serving as Chair of the Psychology Department at Patton as well as President -Elect on the board for Division V - Psychopharmacology - of the California Psychological Association Dr. Johnson is an interactive therapist who uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as his primary style.
