Federated Trade

Federated Trade was established in 2009 in Kennesaw, Georgia, by Jimmy Richardson. Initially, the company was formed with the purpose of liquidating another manufacturer's old inventory online. Soon Federated Trade expanded its product line to new inventory and sales grew quickly. When the company's largest vendor decided to discontinue production... of their fire pit grates in 2011, Jimmy saw an opportunity to fill that niche. He sought out alternate manufacturers to produce a new line of fire pit grates and began selling these grates online under the Heritage Products and Federated Trade Co. brands. By 2014, Jimmy decided it was time to start manufacturing his own products. He purchased the necessary equipment, rented a small warehouse space, and hired his uncle John - a 35 year veteran of the fireplace manufacturing industry - to manage production. Within four months the company outgrew its original space, and by January of 2015 the company had moved into its current facility in Dallas, Georgia. Today we have five employees and are continuing to expand our product line. Today most of the products we sell are designed and manufactured under our own Heritage Products and Federated Trade Co. brands. We are striving to establish these brands as market leaders in fire pit and fireplace accessories, with a reputation for durability and solid build quality.
