The company was originally founded in 2008 as Compass Networks and developed a traditional set of IP/MPLS switching and routing solutions, which have been certified and deployed in Tier 1 service provider networks. In 2016, the company launched its disaggregated networking business, was renamed Exaware, and began to focus engineering and software development in the rapidly emerging market shift to Broadcom DNX-based white box carrier networking solutions. Today, Exaware is a global provider of carrier grade, disaggregated IP/MPLS networking solutions.
