Our company opened for business in February 1996 just as the new requirements for CE marking and EU Directives began to take effect. EUCS originally established to assist North American machine manufacturers to meet the new requirements for exporting into the European Union. Specializing in in-situ assessment of large machinery to both the EMC and... Electrical Safety requirements using EU harmonized standards as guidance. Working closely with UK based authorities, EU Compliance Services provided a unique service which included the complete planning, testing, documentation and certification in one integrated package. The manufacturer received a completed Declaration of Conformity and the confidence that the machine fully met the requirements for the application of the CE Mark of the European Union. EU Compliance services total package approach continues today and provides a worry free approach for manufacturers throughout the USA. The total package has of course changed with the implementation of more New Approach Directives and the introduction of updated standards and requirements. Extending the service to include the Machinery Safety Directive has enhanced the value of having EU Compliance Services as a provider of assessment services. Early in 2001 the company moved to its current location in Mentor, Ohio to allow for the establishment of an EMC test laboratory; a state of the art facility in a professional clean lab environment. Here EU Compliance Services would extend their expertise to smaller products, serving a broader market of assessment. The expansion of company facilities continued in 2003 with the addition of environmental test capability. We secured a thermal / humidity chamber. Modern work areas were added to accommodate an electrical safety test laboratory.
