For over 10 years, EcoEnterprises Fund has been an impact investment leader, supporting innovative small and growing companies that serve as an economic engine to generate community livelihoods and preserve critical habitats and biologically-diverse landscapes. The first fund under management, launched jointly by The Nature Conservancy and the Inte... rAmerican Development Bank's Mulitlateral Investment Fund in 2000, deployed $6.3 million in 23 sustainable companies that introduced an array of cutting-edge, environmentally-friendly products, and generated $281 million in sales. The second fund, EcoEnterprises Partners II (EcoE II), builds on this legacy and targets companies at the next stage of business growth, providing expansion capital to bring impact results to scale. Lead investors include The Nature Conservancy, the Multilateral Investment Fund, European development finance institutions, private accredited investors, foundations, and family offices. To date, the Fund has financed 30 sustainable companies in 11 countries. Collectively, these investments generated solid impacts 4,439 jobs created; 300 community groups benefited; 20,767 small producers involved; half a billion dollars in sales reached, and 7 million acres of land conserved. In late 2016, EcoEnterprises Fund will again build upon its track record and strong portfolio management with a third fund.
