EAST Hotel generously provides free short term emergency accommodation for patients' families, with rooms specially designed to accommodate families in these types of situations. Located between the shopping and restaurant hubs of Manuka and Kingston, minutes from the Parliamentary triangle and notable national attractions, East Hotel is also just... a short distance from the Canberra Hospital. The six-story hotel has 140 rooms in various studio and apartment-style combinations, recognizing the challenges families can face with hotel accommodation by providing specially designated suites. The emergency accommodation is particularly aimed at families who are from interstate and may unexpectedly need to stay overnight, close to the Canberra Hospital, due to injury or illness of a loved one who is being cared for at the hospital.
