Eagle Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution Eagle, Idaho With the understanding that family and work are priorities, a chapter of the NSDAR was organized in Eagle, Idaho, on October 4, 2015. Eagle Chapter NSDAR focuses on service to our local community while respecting the valuable time of our members. We offer efficient, evening meetings and welcome children. We support the David Thompson Society, the local society of the National Society Children of the American Revolution (N.S.C.A.R.). The women who make up today's DAR come from diverse backgrounds and hold a variety of interests. Our common bond comes from honoring our families' roles in American history through our membership. We honor our communities and veterans by promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Copies of applications, genealogical worksheets, and informative brochures are available, and genealogists are always on hand. Please contact us for more information about membership and meeting times. The DAR was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support education for our nation's children. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. With more than 188,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world's largest and most active service organizations. To date, over 1,000,000 women have been DAR members!
