Domino's Pizza opened its first franchise location in 1967 and by 1978, the company had expanded to 200 stores. As the largest pizza company in the world, Domino's is dedicated to making, baking, and delivering mouthwatering pizza to households across the United States and world. As of 2018, Domino's had approximately 15,000 stores, with 5,649 in the United States, 1,500 in India, and 1,249 in the United Kingdom, with stores in more than 83 countries and 5,701 cities worldwide. Domino's Pizza Inc. became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol DPZ. The company operates through a network of more than 7,450 company-owned and franchise stores located in all 50 states and in more than 50 countries, and operates 18 regional dough manufacturing and distribution centers in the contiguous United States and eight dough manufacturing and distribution centers outside the contiguous United States.
