Daxton Irving, LLC, was founded in 2012, in part as a successor organization to O & G Research Services, LLC. Both firms are based in Morgantown, West Virginia. DI currently employs over 60 people with courthouse abstract experience and more than a dozen people with review experience. OGRS, DI's predecessor, began in 2011 with six abstractors worki... ng on a single contract, and exploded into a multi dimensional, client service oriented abstracting shop by the end of 2012. While operating under the auspices of OGRS, current DI employees trained more than 50 abstractors for a local law firm. This represents just one of the many ways that our rapid rise to excellence has been recognized by our clients. We realized early on that using independent contractors as abstractors, as is the industry norm, is not the best way to meet client needs. What followed that realization was the birth of Daxton Irving. All courthouse researchers were transitioned to hourly employees, and team leaders and reviewers were transitioned to salary. DI employees are provided with health insurance and the piece of mind that comes with being a permanent, full time employee. DI has spent more than a year perfecting an abstractor and reviewer evaluation system, which allows us to identify, develop, and retain key talent within the organization. While the management structure of DI is firmly focused on process, it is important to recognize that the true strength of DI is in its people. Using this multi faceted evaluation system, DI is able to confidently staff any project based on client timetables and project rigor.
