Covenant Christian School provides a Christian approach to education and life for the Shoals area. Prayer, academic excellence, and spiritual and moral development are central to Covenant's purpose. Covenant prepares students in the basics so that they can be confident in their abilities and successful in their work. Covenant's course of study focuses on a traditional approach. Bible and Biblical principles are key parts of each school day. Covenant Christian School's current student body of 290 students represents over fifty different churches and each of the three counties in the Shoals area. The school's tuition rate encourages a demographic makeup that crosses all economic and educational levels in its families. Covenant accepts students from the larger Christian community and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or origin of birth. Enrollment is by application and interview. Covenant Christian School has a student:teacher ratio of 11:1, with 19 full-time faculty members and nine part-time faculty members. All teachers hold state certification and Association of Christian School International (ACST) certification. Covenant Christian School is a member of the Shoals Chamber of Commerce, the Association for Supervision of Curriculum Development, Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Covenant is fully accredited by the ACSI and SACS.
