Corvilla is a not-for-profit organization that provides a home for 28 residents with developmental disabilities. The company strives to create a comfortable, family atmosphere for all the company's residents-because in some cases, Corvilla is the only family they have. Since 1959 Corvilla has been committed to enhancing the quality of life for the... company's residents. The company's goal is to provide a caring, supportive environment so the company's Corvilla family can lead satisfying, productive and fun-filled lives. All four of the Corvilla homes are handicap-accessible and have been remodeled to meet the residents' specific needs; and also reflect their own interests and personalities. Each home has up-to-date, comfortable, safe transportation that gets the residents out of the house and into the community. Thanks to the company's professional staff, volunteers and residents' family members, all of Corvilla's group homes continue to successfully meet state standards in quality of residence, quality of staff, and quality of life. Volunteers are always needed to help continue the company's mission, and raise funds for resident needs and activities. Some of the many volunteer opportunities include serving on one of the Corvilla committees, becoming a member of the Board of Trustees, volunteering at resident activities or assisting with a variety of "FUN" fundraising events. The company also need the community to support the company's fund-raisers throughout the year, which bring in additional funds to purchase various personal items for residents, as well as to provide resident vacations and social functions.
