While CCSS provides many services and special care for seniors it has not been easy moving forward quickly without much needed funding. Since 2009 the budget has not grown. The challenge of keeping experienced staff; maintaining expensive vehicles running safely is difficult. Providing necessary operating funds to meet expenses is vital. The Dement... ia Specific Adult Day Care is the most expensive project we administer. Yet, it may well be the most in demand service. In the fall of 2015, the Board of Directors and the Executive Director decided that the only way to move forward was to ask the community's help in supporting services to the 60+ population. Creating an annual campaign to help sustain critical services to seniors was the answer. Government funding and grants provide 67 percent of the CCSS annual budget.
