North Shore Elder Services (NSES) is a private, nonprofit corporation established to provide, develop and plan community-based long term care services for older people. The agency is part of the statewide network of Community Based Organizations, which help elders live both with independence and dignity. Since 1976, NSES has provided services to th... ousands of people over age 60 in Marblehead, Salem, Peabody, Danvers and Middleton. NSES is also designated as the Area Agency on Aging for the five communities. In this role the agency is responsible for regional planning, development and coordination of services for local elders. NSES manages the elder nutrition project operated in the cities/towns, serves as an advocate for the area's older people, and distributes federal funds to local organizations to provide priority supportive services for elders. Today, North Shore Elder Services continues to expand its vision beyond home care and nutrition.
