Colonial Crematorium, Inc. was founded as the first crematory serving Hampton Roads families open directly to the public. We noticed a need in the community for cremation services for those who could either not afford, or didn't want, the full services that most funeral homes offer. We have served thousands of families with compassion and professio... nalism since our founding and look forward to continuing this service for many years to come. One of the ways we have kept our services affordable is to ask for payment at the time of arrangements; this in turn allows us to be as streamlined and efficient as possible without sacrificing our goals of service and expedience. We do not offer memorial services, register books, acknowledgement cards or other services that you may find at area funeral homes. We limit our urn selections to just a few so as to not overwhelm families with choices. We have a dedicated staff on standby 24 hours a day available to help in arranging cremation services or simply to answer questions you may have.
