Cole-Harrington is a private, non-profit community based child care system with child care options available in selected towns in Norfolk, Plymouth and Bristol counties. It operates under the supervision of Enable, Inc. whose mission is to demonstrate leadership in the development, provision and management of innovative social, educational, vocatio... nal and health services for children, adolescents and young adults. Our child care system is dedicated to providing families and children quality child care and educational programs that are community based, developmentally appropriate, and flexible to meet the needs of working parents. Our degreed, professional staff is committed to developing collaborative relationships with parents, family child care providers, and other professionals in the community towards the goal of providing the optimal educational program for children. We are a child-centered, family-focused program that is guided by four primary principles: We will serve children from all economic, cultural and racial backgrounds with and without special health, mental, developmental and educational needs. We will educate parents about child care options in their communities and help them make informed choices that provide for continuity of care for their children as they mature. We will support parents in their important role through ongoing dialogue with teachers, early childhood specialists, family child care providers, and social workers. We will promote the field of early childhood education through the pursuit of national accreditation in all of our centers and child development accreditation for our family child care providers and through the sponsorship of professional workshops, and advocacy efforts at the local and state levels.Read More
