Clemmie's House

It began with a group of faithful, committed ladies who desired to host a bible study and life skills class inside our local jail. As the program continued over time, they began to realize that many women visiting their ongoing classes were reoccurring offenders who just couldn't seem to succeed once released. As the ministry grew, the founding mem... bers wanted to do more to help these women become successful rejoining our local community. Over time, due to many fundraising efforts, Inside Ministries was able to purchase its first transitional home and named this special blessing after a former board member who had passed away, Mrs. Clemmie Walker. Since that time, the program has become known as "Clemmie's House" and has been successful in helping restore the lives of many women who just needed a safe place to land in a loving, encouraging, and caring environment. Our program provides a 12-month personal development plan to help ladies who were formerly incarcerated and/or recovering from addiction. Our desire is to create an environment that challenges them to reach their fullest potential - emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially. We will help mature the restored individuals into successful, law-abiding citizens, committed to Christian faith, values and living. We will also facilitate the development of individual self-discipline, self-esteem and promote skills required for positive re-entry into the community. Repairing the broken elements of life is the focus and first step in the transitional process. One must become free of past negative aspects that have resulted from prior life choices. This is achieved through the development of a true sense of communication, increased perception of self-worth, and true companionship with each other and everyone involved with our program.
