It is with a heavy heart that we are mourning the loss of our fellow Lodge member Dan Tito who passed away suddenly on March 6, 2021. At this time details on services or contact information are not available but will be passed along as soon as possible. Dan Tito was a Vigil Honor member of our Lodge and a longtime Scouter in the council supporting... Troop and Crew 19 as well as the training of youth members through NYLT Top Gun and numerous other activities. He is very well known for his humor and the love of Scouting. Dan will truly be missed. IMPORTANT - February Ordeal Information - February 12-13, 2021 Candidates registered for the February Ordeal should be familiar with Mecklenburg County Council's full COVID mitigation plan available for download from mccscouting.org . Check-in and a required health screening will take place at the Welcome Center from 5:00-6:30pm Friday evening. Please arrive in full Class A uniform with a full stomach because dinner will not be provided. Please note these requirements - Candidates MUST bring the following or they will not be allowed to participate: Unit leaders will not be allowed to camp for the weekend (unless they too are taking part in the Ordeal). Catawba Lodge will be providing the adult supervision. Departure times will be staggered throughout Saturday afternoon as the Ordeal ceremonies are completed. The first group will depart between 3:30-4:00pm and the last group between 6:30-7:00pm. Be on the lookout for an email later in the week that will let you know which group you are in, which will give you a more precise departure time window.
