Cambridge Guardians is based in Cambridge, home of one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom. The backbone of the legal guardianship services is Mrs Rebecca Clarke. Born and educated in Hong Kong with a Diploma in Business Management, Rebecca has had 15 years of international banking experience. Her last post in Hong... Kong was Vice-President of First Pacific Bank, prior to marrying her English husband Peter Clarke. They have two sons, Charles and Henry. Like his father, Charles also went to Cambridge University and followed his parent's footsteps into a banking career after graduation. Henry went to University College London and gained a First in a Modern Language Degree after which he pursued a Master's Degree in European Public Policies, with an aim to work in the Public Sector. For about 12 years, Mrs Clarke worked in various administrative roles in Cambridge University's Colleges including work in the Bursary, Choral Awards, Research Fellowship Awards, Admissions and managing conferences. With an international business background and the experience of working in such a highly acclaimed educational institution, Mrs Clarke set up Cambridge Guardians with the idea of helping and supporting international students who are pursuing their education in the UK. In 2005, Mrs Clarke also set up a very successful academic two week summer programme based at Churchill College, Cambridge (www.cambridgeprogrammes.com) . Students on this programme are drawn from Hong Kong and Australia. The aim of this programme is to inspire young people to aim high whilst studying in the unique academic environment of Cambridge. This programme helps to prepare students who are keen to study in the U.K. and also gives them a taster of Cambridge University student life. Peter Clarke has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and also an MSc in Renewable Energy.
