Cafe Soule

Established in 2010. The Paris Room, upstairs at Cafe Soule, is our gorgeous private event space. Located on the second floor of the historic Soule Mansion, you & your guests will have exclusive access to the original ballroom, balcony, bar, garden terrace of the home. We host wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, cocktail & birthday p... arties, business meetings, holiday parties, private dinners, anything you want. The Soule Mansion was built in 1831 by Pierre Soule. The mansion has a facisinating history. During the Civil War, Union Troops used the mansion as headquarters, and later the building housed and orphanage of 51 orphans. Pierre Soule died in the mansion. In later years, the owners apartment was occupied by Jim Garrison during the JFK investigation. The Cafe Soule owner, John OBrien, restored the mansion to its former state and opened Cafe Soule 2010. The Paris Room was opened 2011. Cafe Soule offers French and Creole dishes, sandwiches, poboys, gumbo, and crepes. Happy Hours nightly during week.
