About Burton Transit
Owners Ashley and Nelson Burton were called to the transportation business in remembrance of the times that their mother, Myrtis Burton, was ill and they were unable to transport her to her doctor's appointments while away at college. Recognizing this need for families and New Orleans' open market, Ashley launched Burton Transit: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation a year after the passing of their mother. The Burton Transit brand color, a vibrant orange, was chosen in memory of Myrtis and her joyous spirit. Nelson launched Burton Transit: Limo & Airport Shuttle Service to better serve visitors during their stay in the Crescent City, one of the top tourist destinations in the world, and provide locals with an experience that can only be found right here at home.
