Bow Tied Enterprises

Founded by Matthew B. Davey, Bow Tied Enterprises had it's beginnings in the early 2000s. Matthew began his career in hospitality as a line cook in restaurants and later with an events production company, where he worked for the better part of a decade. However, his love for music prompted his early beginning as a disc jockey, entertaining both pub... lic and private events. In 2009, he founded Davey Events (later Bow Tied Events) to continue providing disc jockey services to corporate events and wedding celebrations. In 2014, he created a separate brand, that would eventually become Bow Tied Weddings, by hiring another DJ and developing a wedding-focused marketing strategy. It had over 40 weddings in it's first year. After having continued growth in Virginia, Bow Tied Weddings continues to expand into states all over the South. In 2015, Karese M. Burrell came into the picture. She also began her career in hospitality as a hostess in restaurants and later a private events manager at a prominent steakhouse. She was then offered a management position at a dine-in movie theater, where she worked several years until COVID-19 closed her location. During this unprecedented moment in history, Matthew was working on a new brand, Bow Tied Concierge, which offers a unique approach to planning adventurous weekends for couples and groups. Karese was brought on to manage the new brand, establishing the first moment where the two joined their hospitable minds to launch a new venture. Matthew and Karese both have over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and now manage several concepts that revolve around creating exciting memories for life's exciting moments.
