Tighter Engineering was formed in 1982 as a general engineering and fabrication company with an emphasis on Injection Moulding Tooling and Project Management. Other specialities were quickly added during the mid-1980s resulting in the formation of companies specializing in CNC machining of Commercial Beverage Installation Components, Ergonomic furn... iture, Masonry Block Tooling and Steel Geo-grid. Further acquisitions in the early 1990s expanded the companys field of interest to the manufacture of mechanical Joints for Pre-cast Square and Spun Piles and the fabrication of a range of Earth Anchors and Wrought Iron Products. These activities are now grouped under Tighter Engineering International Pty Ltd. Other activates in the fields of Consulting Engineering, Conveyor Idler Manufacture, Labour Hire and Horticulture were established as individual entities and are now grouped under the umbrella of Tighter Engineering Holdings Pty Ltd (TEH). TEH has associated offices, and manufacturing plants, in China, Malaysia and India.
