Barbara Hunter is our Naturopath and Advanced Practitioner of Homeopathy. She worked in a hospital for 18 years as a nurse prior to receiving her Naturopathic Doctorate through the Herbal Healer Academy. Upon completing studies in Naturopathy, she received her Naturopathic Board Certification through the ANCB (American Naturopathic Certification Bo... ard). Barbara also studied with The British Institute of Homeopathy and received her practicing diploma in homeopathy. She then completed her homeopathic clinical at The Nevada Clinic, www.nevadaclinic.com, under F. Fuller Royal, MD, H.M.D.. Barbara received Board Certification in Homeopathy, www.nvbhme.com , and Electro dermal Screening through the State of Nevada Board of Homeopathic Examiners. Barbara studied homeopathy for physicians through Case Western University and also studied Neural Therapy under Dietrich Klinghardt MD, Ph.D.. Homeopathy is a system of medicine used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. It is particularly effective in treating chronic illnesses that fail to respond to conventional treatment. One of the basic principles of homeopathy is that symptoms are understood not as the disease itself, but as a way in which the body seeks to restore its natural healthy balance. For example, fever is a common symptom of many diseases. It is well known that many infectious organisms and diseased cells are much more vulnerable to heat than healthy cells. Therefore, the body produces a fever in order to destroy the invading organisms. The fever is a symptom of an infection but in itself is not a bad thing, and suppressing the fever inhibits the body's attempt to heal itself.
