Blox takes a unique approach to the design-build process. Our approach brings together the ideas and talent of our clients, architects, and contractors to produce a shipping container modification for your residential, commercial or entertainment needs! Compared to traditional stick built homes, container homes are made of steel and were originally... intended to withstand the harsh and rigorous conditions of inter-sea transport. Thousands upon thousands of shipping containers are abandoned or disposed of each year. Our containers are gently used or have been used for one trip. By upcycling these used containers, you're making a better use of these great steel structures. In addition to upcycling, our homes have a very high R insulation value, in return uses less electric and natural resources to power the home. Our shipping container homes are built and assembled inside of our shop. Being able to build them indoors is a huge advantage that allows all of our materials (and craftsmen) to stay protected from the elements. It also allows us to always be working on a home regardless of the weather or temperature outside.
