The companys founder and president, Jackie Metivier, is a native Spanish-speaker from Puebla, Mexico, who holds an advanced degree in communications from the Intercontinental University in Mexico City. She is certified by the American Translators Association as a translator from English to Spanish, and she is a U.S. Court Consortium Certified Inter... preter in Spanish to English. Jackie is past-president of the Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters, the local chapter of the American Translators Association. Bilingual Communications is certified by the North Carolina Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB). The company is a Woman Small Disadvantaged Business Enterprise as defined by the City of Durhams Ordinance to Promote Equal Business Opportunities.
