Our clean and friendly campground has much to offer the Alaskan traveler. Centrally located in the heart of the Mat-Su Valley just a few miles from both the cities of Palmer and Wasilla, (and only 37 miles from Anchor... age). We provide a great location to set up and set out on day trips to explore the surrounding areas. Our park is a destination-must for visitors and locals who wish to get out whether you're RV or tent camping or needing a cabin getaway. Came up to Alaska from Florida. Great trip and beautiful scenery, but not all camping experiences were as pleasant as this at Big Bear RV Park & Cabins in Palmer, AK. Very clean and extremely comfortable camping in wide neat spaces. We had a very late check-in which was absolutely no problem; we were accommodated courteously. Excellent service, great location and most importantly, we felt safe and secure staying in the cabins. Great AIRBNB. Will come back if we return to Alaska. Great campground, kind helpful staff. We stayed in the tent section and really appreciated that the tents are off by themselves instead of in the middle of the RV's. The showers are clean, warm & bright. VERY nice. They also have cabins for rent at the campground. Great clean small campground. Theres a few full hookups but mostly water and electric sites. Beautiful views of the mountains in the background. Cleanest bathhouse I've ever seen with good music playing in the background and hairdryers ready to use. Loved this place! Great Campground! Clean & we'll maintained. Knowagable, friendly staff.
