The Center's Shelter program focuses on helping its residents obtain work, education & training or treatment that will lead to greater success in meeting life's daily challenges. The shelter provides dormitory-style living for single men & women, while families are housed in an additional area with community-style living. The shelter provides stabi... lity in a home-like environment along with compassionate staff support. Case Managers work daily with residents and referring agencies to develop individual plans designed to find solutions to the crisis of homelessness. The Center's Supportive Housing case manager will offer similar supports to (5) households residing in the supportive housing apartments across the street from the Center. This collaborative effort is the project of Neighborhood Works/New Horizons (dba Mutual Housing Association). The company is excited to have an opportunity to extend the company's services. The Center's Soup Kitchen consistently provides nutritious lunches Monday through Friday to residents as well as all community members in need. Community groups periodically prepare and serve meals to residents both on and off-site. Currently, Cornerstone Christian Center and Holy Infant RC church provide lunches on regularly scheduled weekend days. Would you like to support these vital services?
