Bark EUROPA

We focus on young people from our home port The Hague. The foundation hopes to help you people who can't afford a trip on board themselves, but who could benefit greatly from this special experience. Being a Friend of EUROPA, you not only support young trainees but also the ship in her existence in the coming years. As our second goal, the Friends... of Bark EUROPA want to contribute to the preservation of the ship by raising funds for the addition of traditional jewelry to the ship. We hope to make the dream of the permanent crew come true by adding a skylight to the ship. A skylight is a construction that is used for daylight and/or ventilation. The Foundation Friends of Bark EUROPA is determined to realize our goals. However, solid financial resources are needed to make our projects possible. We hope to obtain these through donations from future Friends and entrepreneurs, through fundraising and targeted crowdfunding campaigns. The board of the foundation is hopeful and enthusiastic to realize the objectives in the coming years. This board consists of the following members: Frank Hoogeweegen - chairman Marijke Jäger - treasurer Nina Jolink - secretary The foundation has a non-profit motive. The board of the Foundation Friends of Bark EUROPA receives no remuneration. The board is assisted by an Advisory Board. The members of the Advisory Council give solicited or unsolicited advice to the board to achieve the foundation's purpose.
