AtaLoss.org was founded in 2016 by Yvonne Richmond Tulloch to ensure that every bereaved person in the UK can find the support that they need. providing the UK's signposting website for the bereaved, directing the bereaved and those supporting them to information and services appropriate to their loss; promoting and encouraging the bereavement supp... ort that exists; plugging gaps in bereavement support where it is scarce; training groups and individuals in bereavement care to mobilise local support. Nobody in the UK, suffering a significant loss, should be left floundering or alone. To ensure that every bereaved person in the UK can find bereavement support when they need it. Bereavement by death (including pregnancy) but in the case of young people we extend our work to loss more generally as it can have an enormous impact on the future and mental health of young people. Working towards www.ataloss.org becoming the trusted go to place to search for bereavement support services whether that be national or specialist agencies or local on hand provision. Helping 18-30 year olds explore the impact of bereavement and find support. Offering bereaved men the opportunity to grapple with their loss through our 'Bereavement Support for Men' project. Training for youth workers, teachers and any professionals working with young people through our 'ListeningPeople' project. Providing training and resources for places of worship and employers to enable them to provide effective local bereavement support within their communities and in workplaces.
